Sound Cards

Postby John Pettit » Mon Aug 29, 2005 8:09 pm

Good evening Derek, Just a quicky as I am just starting out with Wave Corrector.

My computer has a built-in software sound card - apart from losing the 'Audition' functions, are there any other functions likely to be affected?

What would be the most suitable sound card to purchase i.e. one which will give me all the functions of Wave Corrector?

Many thanks,

John

Hi John. Do you have normal play back function using wave corrector with your card. A lot of little quirks turn up when we're just starting to use Wave Corrector and usually turn out to be setting on our computers. I'm not an expert on setting up audio cards but I do know you have to have the correct device selected for recording and for playback.

Hi Stan, yes I do have normal playback. In fact I actually have the audition functions working, too! It seems as if what I have will work OK with Wave Corrector. I just need to work out how to do manual corrections from the instructions!

Thanks,

John
