Cancel a Restore Session

Postby interactive dj » Wed Nov 09, 2005 8:09 am

While restoring a session I decided to cancel the operation but it didnt stop the restore process just the individual operation and then didnt allow me to cancel other operations.
Is there a way to abort the entire process ?

The screen of restore session operations was as follows:
(tick) load wave file
(tick) Operation Cancelled - this is where I pressed the cancel button
(tick) Recover Waveform
(tick) Recovered Corrections

Any suggestions except wait for it to complete or get a faster PC.

Yes, the code could be a little more user firendly.

If you cancel during the initial phase, (ie before the file has completely loaded), then the operation is cancelled immediately as expected. However, if you cancel at some time during the restoration of the corrected wave, then the program tries to exit cleanly, without a partially corrected file; hence the long delay. It should really give you option of abandoning the load completely. I'll try to do this in the next release.
