Volume Level

Postby paulby1 » Thu Oct 19, 2006 7:43 pm

Been trying to record vinyl via amplifier 'Tape out' terminals, but it requires the Windows volume slider to be set so low that it's difficult to get correct volume on Wave Corrector. A borrowed black box type pre-amp did the same.
Connecting the turntable (Dual CS 503-1) directly to the PC's 'Line-in' almost gives a strong enough output with the Windows volume slider at max. But I didn't think this turntable had an inbuilt pre-amp so this wouldn't have RIAA equalisation.
I know it sounds more like an issue with my hardware rather than Wave Corrector, but would appreciate any advice. Thanks.

Thanks Derek.
Also apologies, I had looked through the other areas but completely missed it.
