deleting bad tracks

Postby citguy » Wed Jan 19, 2005 2:52 am

I feel foolish asking this but, is there an easy way to delete tracks while working with a large group of tracks, say about 39. Sometimes I get a partial track at the end of a tape that I can't use so I merge it with the previous track and then adjust the boundry until it's gone. I can't seem to find an easy way of just deleting the track from my session.

There are two possibilities:

You could mark each unwanted partial track as a block and use 'cut & splice'. This will remove it and its boundary markers from the recording.

Alternatively, and probably easier, is to simply deselect the partial track(s) from the track list when you 'save & close'. That way the unwanted track(s) will not be saved. If you use track numbers in your file naming rule, you can check the 'consecutive numbering' option. This will renumber the tracks ignoring the unselected ones.
