beta 3.3 build 1

Postby citguy » Mon Aug 07, 2006 10:29 pm

Hi Derek. Thought I would try the lead in/lead out profile on a vinyl recording. Two unexpect things occurred. 1. the "invalid argument" message occurred during the filter testing. 2. the program got locked in the testing phase and I could not get back to a "play function". Am using Win 98 SE.

Derek. I tried the same procedure a second time, reloading the wave file. It was also a failure when I tried to create a new noise profile. I actually lost the left channel completely. BUT, I reloaded the file and tried it a third time and everything worked as it should. It may have to do with the 'sequence' of actions. The first time, I did some "cut and splice" activity before doing the profiles and testing filters. I believe the second time was similar. The third time I did the noise profiles first then cut and spliced. I don't know if I can reproduce the errors or not. If I do, I'll try to give a better report.

Thanks for the report.

I haven't managed to reproduce this but it is not altogether surprising. The test filter routine doesn't yet take account of the dual profile; and also the program doesn't yet check if the second profile contains a cut section. It may also be that win98 is less tolerant of this than win2000 which is what my development machine is running.

Any further information to help me reproduce this would be greatly appreciated.

all the best

Hello,

I am using the beta version and it works okay for me. I like just the executable file.

Thanks!
